Radstock Co-op's Colleague Jumps For Charity

Radstock Co-op’s Trainee Manager, Graham Perry, raised nearly £2,000 for the Bristol Children’s Hospital ‘Wallace and Gromit Grand Appeal’ by jumping from an aeroplane and free falling 20,000 ft. The Co-op donated a further £400 from funds raised from a charity raffle that was held at the annual awards ceremony.

Graham’s wife gave birth to twin daughters, Ezri and Maya earlier in the year.  During the pregnancy, Graham and his wife received the devastating news that Maya had an abnormality with her heart and would require a series of major operations, the first one within days of the birth.  Maya has undergone two of the operations and has another one scheduled for a few weeks’ time.  Thanks to the skill, support and expertise of the staff at the Bristol Children’s Hospital, Maya has recovered well from her operations.

A spokesperson for the hospital said, “It is brilliant that you thought to support The Grand Appeal and the outstanding care given at the Bristol Children’s to your colleague Graham’s twins, by holding a raffle.  Your incredible donation of £400 will help give sick and injured babies and children the very best care in their time of need. Thank you so much!”
