‘It’s been a long-time coming, but I’m truly delighted to announce the last remaining pre-commencement condition has been passed today! I can therefore confirm that we can move forward with the demolition of the site. It’s not only great news for the Society but also fantastic news for the town. The approved plans for the site include a high-quality modern store, further retail units, office floorspace & 28 apartments in two mixed use buildings along Wells Road. In addition, outline planning has also been approved for the construction of 26 new homes on part of the existing car park.
We look forward to progressing with the next stage of development over the coming months.
